The Brisbane Cricket Ground is very famous for being named as “Gabba” and it is one of the major stadiums in Brisbane, Australia. Gabba is named after Woolloongabba, the suburb in Queensland where the stadium is located. The ground has a lot of special moments, and it hosts several sports including Cricket, Football, Rugby, Greyhound Racing. The capacity in the stadium is around 40,000.
The Gabba was the first Australian venue to host an International Twenty20 cricket match, played between Australia and South Africa, which Australia won with a margin of 95 runs. This stadium is well known not for just the short format games, but also for the test matches, especially the Ashes and the Border Gavaskar Trophy matches. During the World Cup 2015, there are three matches going to be played at Brisbane Cricket Ground.
